Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas is a powerful and extensive educational and scientific-industrial complex, the main Carpathian regional educational organization of students and teachers. It carried out undergraduate and postgraduate educational activities and held technical high school and college educational activities. The university provides educational and research activity in 56 departments with a strong academic team consisting of nearly 700 teachers, of which 75 – are doctors, and professors, more than 350 are PhD, and associate professors, and 14 are Laureates of State Prizes of Ukraine.
Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas was among the first universities in Ukraine that become a member of the International Association for the Exchange of Students and Internships. Since 1990 our students have become members of the International Association of Students and young professionals who study economics and management. The Scientific-research Institute of Petroleum Energy and Environment of the University within 16 academic schools, run by well-known scholars in the field, successfully conducted a study of the problematic parts of the oil and gas industry, almost all developing patented, are world novelty and put into production.
University Facilities
Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas consists of 12 academic buildings with 120 classrooms, 26 specialized classrooms, 142 research laboratories, and 32 educational computer classes. It has a rich scientific and technical library that includes more than 1.3 million copies of printed works, a unique Geological Museum, which was given the status of national heritage of Ukraine, and a Museum of University History, and Innovation Fair Grounds. University provides students with an opportunity to live in one of 7 renovated student hostels, use the University Sports Complex consisting of 5 gyms, and spend time in places such as the swimming pool, ski places, sports camp “Torch,” recreation area “Oilman”, university sanatorium “Fit”, dining rooms and buffets. One of the most important components of the educational process at the Ivano-Frankivsk National Technical University of Oil and Gas is the Center of Culture and Leisure Activities for students, consisting of 12 amateur groups such as the dance ensemble “Gems” and “Rhythm”, vocal horizon, and show-ballet “Charm “, humor team, female vocal ensemble “Echo”, literary drama team “Masquerade”, breakdance team “Dead zone”, and so on.
