University Today
The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology was established in 2021 based on the Dnipro National University of Railway Transport named after Academician V. Lazaryan and the National Metallurgical Academy of Ukraine. The new university is a multi-disciplinary institution of higher education, the main purpose of which is educational activities at various levels of higher education and the conduct of fundamental and applied scientific research. The university has a developed infrastructure of educational, scientific, and scientific-production units, contributes to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, and conducts cultural and educational activities.
The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology consists of 16 educational faculties. The university operates 68 departments that provide training in 160 educational programs (73 undergraduate programs, 70 postgraduate programs, and 17 Ph.D programs). The academic staff consists of 612 lecturers, with 70% holding scientific degrees. The Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology employs 101 doctors of science and professors, 18 members of sectoral academies, 85 laureates of state and named awards, and honorary workers of science, higher education, and industry sectors. Among the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology faculty members are Soros Professors and Associate Professors, as well as recipients of grants from Fulbright, the International Science Foundation, allowing them to undergo internships in Germany, France, and the USA.
