The Basis of Training
Dnipro Medical Institute of Traditional & Non-Traditional Medicine adheres to legislative and regulatory standards established by the Ministry of Education and Science (MES) of Ukraine. These standards govern the educational and professional programs, as well as the qualification characteristics, for specialist training in the fields of Medicine and Stomatology. The educational programs for these specialties were approved by MES orders N239 on April 16, 2003, and N504 on July 28, 2003, respectively. The university follows a curriculum for the educational qualification level of “expert” in higher educational institutions accredited at levels III-IV in Ukraine.
The curriculum, approved by the Ministry of Ukraine and the Department of Higher Education MES on January 24, 2005, outlines the educational requirements and qualifications necessary for students pursuing advanced degrees in medicine. Dnipro Medical Institute of Traditional & Non-Traditional Medicine provides comprehensive training in traditional and alternative medicine within a structured educational framework. The training of medical personnel follows the State standard of medical education (DSVO) with a focus on the specialty of Medicine. The Dnipro Medical Institute of Traditional & Non-Traditional Medicine has established a cross-cutting programs integrating basic, professionally oriented, and clinical disciplines vertically (across years of schooling) and horizontally (across various subjects) throughout the entire period of study. The programs include disciplines of alternative medicine, and the curriculum is approved annually by the institute’s own list of selected disciplines. International students learn about alternative medicine disciplines alongside their regular curriculum. In their six-year program, students in the “General Medicine” specialty study a range of subjects: biorhythmology in the first year, bioenergoinformatics and pharmacognosy in the second, herbal medicine in the third, homeopathy in the fourth, iridodiagnosis and reflexology in the fifth, and manipulation techniques in the sixth.

The practical training includes manufacturing practice sessions, introduced after two terms of medical botany, serving as the foundation for studying medicinal plants.
