History of the Cherkasy State Technological University started in 1960 with engineering departments in the Cherkasy of the Kyiv Technological Institute of Food Industry (Order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the Ukrainian SSR at number 84 on March 11, 1960). During the years of its establishment, Cherkasy State Technological University through powerful experience in educational, scientific, and educational work has become a leading research and teaching center for the training of highly qualified personnel in the near region.
The development strategy of the Cherkasy State Technological University is aimed at strengthening its position in the education system on a regional, national, and European scale. Among the strategic goals of the university in educational policy are the preparation of highly qualified, competitive specialists, integration into the European education space, and further consolidation of positions at the Ukrainian and international levels. Training is provided for higher education seekers in over 100 educational programs, and over 40 specialties at the educational levels of Bachelor, Master, and educational-scientific level of Doctor of Philosophy. The total student body of the Cherkasy State Technological University comprises approximately 3,000 higher education seekers.
