The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management (the IAPM) was founded in 1989 as a non-state higher education and research institution. The IAPM is the largest Ukrainian university of economic and humanitarian profile training students from 39 countries in 20 educational specialties, 101 specializations in 16 areas of study, and 11 fields of knowledge. The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management consists of the Presidential University (the city of Kyiv), the All-Ukrainian University (institutes, branches, subsidiaries all over Ukraine), and the International Open University (the International Preparatory Institute in Kyiv and the network of foreign education centers abroad).
Today the Interregional Academy of Personnel Management is the leader in the sphere of non-state higher education in Ukraine. The Academy is licensed at the IV (the highest) level of accreditation by the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine and accredited at all licensed specialties of study that allow issuing state-standard higher educational degrees. The Interregional Academy of Personnel Management has developed over 300 study curriculums, manuals, and 200 books for educational programs. The Academy’s infrastructure comprises European-standard educational buildings, a conference hall, dormitories, a medical center, a library building, a stadium, gyms and athletic fields, a concert hall, student restaurants, cafes and canteens, food stores, barber’s, sauna, parks with a lot of cultural objects, etc.

- 1998 – All-Ukrainian Open Popularity and Quality Rating “Wheel of Fortune” – “Crystal Horn of Plenty” in the nomination for the best non-state university in Ukraine;
- 1999 – VI International Open Rating of Popularity and Quality of Goods and Services “Golden Fortune” – “Crystal Elephant” in the nomination for the best non-state university in Ukraine;
- Order “For Labor Achievements” IV degrees of the All-Ukrainian Open Popularity and Quality Rating “Golden Fortune”;
- 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 – Rating of Higher Education Institutions of Ukraine “Sophia Kyivska” in nominations for the best non-state university in Ukraine and the best management university in Ukraine;
- Order “For the Development of Ukraine” IV degree of the International Open Rating of Popularity and Quality of Goods and Services “Golden Fortune”;
- Order “Venerable Nestor the Chronicler” I degree of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church;
- 2003 – Nelson Mandela Medal;
- 2004 – Diploma of the National Competition “Brand of the Year 2004” (award in the nomination “Public Recognition”), the diploma was received by the rector of the Academy, Professor Mykola Holovatiy;
- 2006 – Victory in the national business rating with the title of “Leader in the Field of Higher Education”;
- 2007 – The Academy entered the top hundred taxpayers in the capital (award from the Kyiv City State Administration);
- 2012 – Grand Prix in the nomination “Information IT Technologies in Higher Education Institution”;
- 2012 – Minister of Education and Science of Ukraine Dmytro Tabachnyk awarded a certificate of appreciation to MAUP for its significant contribution to the development of science and education in Ukraine;
- 2013 – Gold medal in the nomination “Publication of textbooks and manuals of the new generation for specialized higher education institutions”;
- 2014 – MAUP received the European Awards for Best Practices 2014.
