For two days, senior students of the Danylo Halytskyi Lviv National Medical University had the opportunity to “upgrade” their knowledge and skills in anesthesiology and intensive care. The Student Scientific Society at the University’s training simulation center organized and held a scientific conference “Anestesys” for them.
The format of the event included lectures by anesthesiologists with significant experience and workshops by qualified instructors. Both recent graduates of LNMU, who already have experience of successful professional work, and instructors from among current students, actively participated in its implementation. The program was structured as follows: before lunch, the students had lectures, and after that – practical classes with practicing skills on mannequins and analyzing complex clinical cases. The first day of the conference was anesthesiology, the second – intensive care.
More than 120 participants volunteered to learn new things and gain practical skills. Now they will feel much more confident when they have to provide emergency care to patients.
